WIESBADEN, 30 September 2025 – comforte AG, a global leader in data-centric security solutions headquartered in Wiesbaden, is driving its strategic transformation forward and positioning itself even more strongly for sustainable growth and international expansion. This course is being supported by a rapidly evolving cybersecurity market as well as by the strategic partnership established in April 2025 with Nera Digital. Together, they aim to create new momentum for innovation, scaling, and global market leadership.
As part of the company’s continued organizational development, the Executive Board is being restructured. The current Chairman of the Executive Board, Michael J. Deissner, has decided to leave the company on 30 September 2025 to pursue new professional opportunities outside of comforte. Since taking on the leadership role in 2016, Deissner has played a pivotal role in transforming comforte into a global leader in data-centric security. Today, comforte secures around 60 percent of all card transactions worldwide. In addition, approximately 30 of the world’s largest banks and card issuers rely on the Wiesbaden-based company. Its more than 300 customers include leading organizations such as VISA, Mastercard, Barclays, and Macy’s. In addition to its headquarters in Wiesbaden, comforte also operates offices in New York, Singapore, and Sydney.
“Michael Deissner has been instrumental in shaping comforte into what it is today – a global leader in data-centric security,” said Michael Rossbach, Founder of comforte AG and Chairman of the Supervisory Board. “His strategic vision and his role in securing a strong growth partner have been crucial to our success. We sincerely thank him for his outstanding leadership, his loyalty, and his collegial collaboration, and we are pleased that he will remain connected to the company as a shareholder.”
Reflecting on his time at comforte with gratitude and pride, Deissner said: “It has been a great honor and pleasure to actively shape the future of comforte together with my fellow board members and all employees. I am proud of what we have achieved and look forward to continuing to follow the company’s development from a new perspective.”
As part of the structural realignment, Michael Horst, currently a member of the Executive Board, will also step down from this body. He will, however, remain with the company in the role of Chief Architect, where he will continue to play a key role in shaping comforte’s corporate strategy and technological vision. This step lays the foundation for an even closer alignment between strategic direction and technological innovation.
Since the position of CEO will not be filled for the time being, the Executive Board will consist of the following members going forward:
- Jochen Soder, Chief Financial Officer
- Henning Horst, Chief Technology Officer
- Bart Parren, Chief Revenue Officer
With this new leadership structure, comforte is ideally positioned for the future. Together with Nera Digital, the company will further strengthen its position as a global leader in data-centric security solutions, accelerate innovation, and continue to drive its international growth.
